Q: What roles are available for members of the Space?
A: Member and Space Admin
Q: What is the role of a Member?
A: A Member is a basic learner within a Space who has no elevated permissions. If the Space includes a social feed, Members can post, comment, like, and respond to others’ posts - but they do not have any management or moderation capabilities.
Q: What is the role of a Space Admin?
A: A Space Admin is a member with elevated permissions for a specific Space. They can edit the Space’s root and sub-pages, manage membership (manual additions/removals), moderate posts and comments, and configure page settings. Unlike Super Admins, their control is limited to the Space(s) they administer.
Q: How do permissions work when adding groups to a Space?
A: When you add a group to a Space, you assign a single role (either Member or Space Admin) that applies to everyone in that group. If someone in the group needs a different role - for example, if you want to make them a Space Admin while the rest of the group remains Members - you can add that person individually to the Space as well. This allows you to give them a separate, elevated role without changing the group’s overall permissions.
